John Webb

John Webb, instrument specialist, supplies the Wallace Collection with valuable authentic period instruments and reproductions of historic instruments that are in his personal collection. A former commercial artist, John Webb started his own company to make creative television commercials, directing over 100. For the last 30 years he has been collecting early brass and woodwind instruments. He learned to restore them and later to make reproductions of historic instruments, including baroque trumpets, sackbuts and natural horns. The instruments are also used regularly for education projects and teaching at the Royal Academy of Music.
