East Side, West Side
Highly enjoyable session featuring Bucky Pizzarelli and a repertoire comprised of such underplayed standards as "There'll Be Some Changes Made," “Sidewalks of New York," and "Please Be Kind." Highly recommended for swing and classic Jazz fans.

Never in a Million Years
Kenny Davern and pianist Dick Wellstood played together at New York's Vineyard Theatre one cold January afternoon in 1984. For more than two hours they held a capacity audience spellbound with their inspiring musical conversation, full of shouts and murmurs, exultation and meditation, light and shadow.

Kenny Davern and the Rhythm Men
For this quintet set, Kenny is joined by pianist John Bunch, guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli, bassist Bob Haggart and drummer Tony DeNicola, to perform including "That Rhythm Man," "Three Little Words" and Eubie Blake's "You're Lucky to Me."

Smiles
For this 1998 session, this staunch traditionalist, has picked eight standards, primarily from the late teens-early '20s, with two exceptions, a smoldering take on the '30s classic "Summertime," and the '50s out-and-out jam vehicle "Bernie's Tune." There's serious fun happening on this disc that should produce many smiles and grins from fans worldwide. The tunes are all extended, lasting from six to nine minutes, the title track finale a sweet and lengthy coda to this rock-solid effort.
