Wild piano playing, simply wild, whats he on!!! pete L
Tue Apr 9 2002 19:14
I have been fortunate to hear the music of the composer - pianist Myroslav Gutej.
He is Australian and apparently he did not play in public for thirteen years due to hand injuries.
At his web site
you can hear why he damaged his hands.
The piano seems to be taking a real beating.
The music is so dramatic!!!!. The second excerpt Sonata no.6 Movement 1 is the excerpt I am thinking of.
The whole thing is very much a Lisztian type of approach to music.
I have ordered a cd to see what the rest of it is like.
That excerpt 2 is really explosive
