Pink Floyd: Dark Side Of The Moon.
'It turned the musical world on its ear with a hitherto unseen combination of sounds' Ganeva's love of percussion is an obvious choice for this highly experimental hit album of the 1970s.

Allegri: Miserere; Palestrina / Willcocks, et al.
Gregorio Allegri (1582-1652) wrote music for the papal chapel and choir. This setting of the haunting Miserere is perhaps his most famous work, and was originally composed for the Easter celebrations in 1638. The work was performed exclusively in the Sistine Chapel, and for many years the scoring was kept secret, that is until 12-year old Mozart heard it and reportedly wrote it out from one hearing. Being described as sublime, gorgeous, and captivating this is a work that inevitably finds its way into every good music library.

Shostakovich: Piano Concerto no 2, etc / Shostakovich.
Daniella includes the Shostakovich Piano Concerto No.2 as one of her favourite works, and upon hearing the intensely moving second movement for which it is famous, it is an obvious choice. This recording sees Dmitri Shostakovich Jnr at the keyboard, with the I Musici de Montreal. A must for any Shostakovich collection.

Passion: Music For The Last Temptation Of Christ.
Known for his often outrageous song-writing, Peter Gabriel wrote this music for the controversial 1989 Martin Scorcese film, The Last Temptation Of Christ. With its prominent and innovative music for percussion, it is no wonder that Daniella has included this CD amongst her favourites.
